Lyrics:
All Over Gently [Version (a)]:

It's all over gently, the sweetest goodbye
Sweet little peppercorn, I want out of your pie
Hug me, don't slug me, my Mexican Jew
Stay if you want, but don't forget we're through
There's been some soft grass grown between us, yea yea yea yea
When they talk about bad blood, they don't mean us, no no

It's all over gently, the sweetest goodbye
You sweet little sassafras, I want you out by July
Good when it started, still pretty good
Stay if you wanna, but I don't think you should
There's been some soft grass grown between us, yea yea yea
But when they talk about bad blood, they don't mean us, no

Common collision, eye roll
He's not the driver, he's got the reins

The Song:

In 2010 or so, Beck called up Stephen Malkmus and offered his services as a producer. Malkmus and his band, The Jicks, took him up on the offer and Beck produced their album, Mirror Traffic. Beck does not perform on the album, he is merely the producer (and unlike some of his other productions, his presence is a bit more invisible and behind-the-scenes).

"All Over Gently" is the thirteenth track from the album, a rollicking electric guitar groove with cool lyrics.
