Lyrics:
Get Yourself Back Home [Version (a)]:

No money on the plate
Nobody too late
No food on the floor
No booze left to pour
Get yourself together
Get yourself back home
Find what you were looking for
And leave the rest alone

No cole slaw on the brain
No human candy cane
No ski lodge in the hills
No babies on pills
Get yourself together
Get yourself back home
Find what you were looking for
And leave the rest alone

No human cannonball
No moosehead on the wall
No pickle in the drawer
No time to run and get some more
So get yourself together
Get yourself back home
Find yourself a way
And leave the rest alone

The Song:

"Get Yourself Back Home" is a quick little recording, found on Beck's early tape, Don't Get Bent Out Of Shape. Beck is sort of semi-rapping, as he plays harmonica and pounds a drum/stomps the floor.

The first verse is fairly normal, a nice little bluesy setting. Then, though, Beck goes all silly with strange improvisations for the last two verses.

If "One Foot in the Grave" did not have the job, maybe this could be the harmonica jam in concerts to this day!
