The Song:

Mind Wars is a collaborative project between Thurston Moore and Beck. It was released on cassette in limited quantities, and (so far anyway) only sold in Australia when Beck toured there one week in 2012.

The music on the cassette is entirely instrumental, a sound collage basically. It's kind of magical.

Side A trips through a lot of sounds: footsteps, electric guitar, percussion, acoustic guitar, whistling, recorders, keyboards, violin, howling wolves. It is 24 minutes long.

Beck and Thurston make it far more listenable than that cluttered description may make it sound; all these things float in and out like a dream.
