Tomorrow Never Knows

Original Performance: The Beatles

Lyrics:
Tomorrow Never Knows [Version (a)]:

from the July 27, 2013 version

Turn off your mind
Relax and float down stream
It is not dying
It is not dying

Lay down all thoughts
Surrender to the void
It is shining
It is shining

Yet you may see
The meaning of within
It is being
It is being

Love is all
And love is everyone
It is knowing
It is knowing

And ignorance and hate
May mourn the dead
It is believing
It is believing

But listen to the color
Of your dreams
It is not leaving
It is not leaving

So play the game
Existence to the end
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning

The Song:

"Tomorrow Never Knows" is the classic Beatles song by John Lennon.

At a concert in 2013, Beck was performing before Wilco and Bob Dylan. During Wilco's set, Beck joined them for 5 songs. Two of those were Beatles covers, "Yer Blues" and "Tomorrow Never Knows", and were actually sung by Sean Lennon! Wilco backed him, and Beck played tambourine and sang backup on this one. Cibo Matto also sang backup! Beck's presence on the song is pretty minimal though; he's much more involved on the "Yer Blues." It's a pretty hot cover though, for sure.
