By: John Lennon, Paul McCartney

Original Performance: The Rolling Stones
Written by: John Lennon, Paul McCartney

Lyrics:
I Wanna Be Your Man [Version (a)]:

I wanna be your lover, baby
I wanna be your man
I wanna be your lover, baby
I wanna be your man

Love you like no other, baby
Like no other can
Love you like no other, baby
Like no other can

I wanna be your man
I wanna be your man
I wanna be your man
I wanna be your man

Tell me that you love me, baby
Let me understand
Tell me that you love me, baby
I wanna be your man

I wanna be your lover, baby
I wanna be your man
I wanna be your lover, baby
I wanna be your man

I wanna be your man
I wanna be your man
I wanna be your man
I wanna be your man

The Song:

"I Wanna Be Your Man" is a song that Paul McCartney and John Lennon wrote and gave to The Rolling Stones in 1963 (who released it as a single, and not on an album). Later that year, The Beatles recorded their own version, sung by Ringo Starr for their With The Beatles album. Lennon dismissed the song, saying they'd never give anything great to either The Stones or Ringo.

In 2015, Beck appeared at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony to perform a song in tribute to Lou Reed (who was being inducted). Another inductee that night was Ringo Starr, and in his musical performance, Paul McCartney joined him to do some songs. Beck (and a bunch of other famous musicians) all came on stage to sing along during a couple of The Beatles songs they did ("I Wanna Be Your Man" and "With A Little Help From My Friends").
