Lyrics:
Feel Like Makin' Love [Live version (a)]:

From August 18, 2000 live improvisation
I'm just lookin' for something I lost
One of the broken pieces I lost along the way
I don't know if it was last year or yesterday
Something so real!
I can almost reach out and grab

Oh fuck it!
Bring it down, make it real lonely.

'Cause that song gets played on the radio
Keep it going-make it lonely

That's the time, yeah babe, I feel like makin' love to you
Oooh oh oh
Yes the time, yeah yeah, I feel like makin' love to you
Let's ?? and baby

From August 22, 2000 live improvisation:

Sometimes I get so alone
Sittin' in my room all alone
Watching the same TV -- CNN
Thinkin' about you, girl
And the love that I just left behind
And I can see your reflection in the mirror
You look so real!
I want to reach out and tell you something
I found the broken pieces
We thought we lost along the way
??
That song's on the radio
And all I can do is sing along
That's the time, baby, I feel like makin' love to you
That's the time, baby, I feel like makin'... ??
That's not the way it is anymore
It's just a brand new location
The same 808 buttons
And all I've got is a little "Nicotine & Gravy"!

The Song:

This song is one of Beck's famous stage improvisations. He did it a few times on the Midnite Vultures.

The main chorus part "that's the time I feel like makin' love to you" comes from an old R&B song called "Feel Like Makin' Love." It was originally done by Robert Flack. D'Angelo released a cover on his 2000 album, so Beck may have had that one in mind. (See the song's Wiki page.)

Beck of course made up his own lyrics for the song.

Live:

Played live 4 times:
Earliest known live version: April 30, 2000
Latest known live version: August 22, 2000

The August 18, 2000 version was short, and used as a short intro into "Nicotine & Gravy."

A few days later on August 20, it was a bit longer and also to lead into "Nicotine."
