Lyrics:
My Mind Is On You [Version (a)]:

My mind is on you
Please don't take it off
Just leave it there
So don't get lost
So don't get empty
Sittin' by itself
In the evening time
Thinkin' too much
Stayin' home
My mind is on you
Don't leave it alone
Don't step aside
When you are steppin'
Don't run around
When you are dizzy
Say to the flower
"I am a flower"
I'm sick inside
I'm lucky to cry
My mind is on you
Please don't take it off
Just leave it there
So it don't get lost
So don't get empty
Sittin' by itself
In the evening time
My mind is on you
Let it stay
My ?? won't hate you
Let it stay
Let it stay
I'm livin' ahead
Of what I know
I never learn
The way I burn
Tasting my time
Spitting it out
I can't breathe
I can only shout
My mind is on you
Please don't take it off
Just leave it there
So it don't get lost
So it don't get empty
Sittin' by itself
In the evening time
In the evening time

My mind is on you
From sun to sun
From all that is lost
To all that is done
From all that is pure
And all that is fake
From the ?? stones
To the wedding lake
Like a flaming beach
On the windy plain
I am your blood
I am your brain

My mind is on you
Let it stay

The Song:

A discovery of an alternate version of Don't Get Bent Out Of Shape turned up this quiet, pensive song.

My first initial thought at reading the lyrics is that it does not seem very Beck-like, to be honest. Not that it is bad, I actually really like it. Some of the images, like of a "flaming beach on the windy plain," and the idea of the singer's wants to keep thinking about this person, so that his mind is not "sittin' by itself in the evening time" is awesome.
