Lyrics:
Run Run Run [Version (a)]:

Teenage Mary said to Uncle Dave:
"I sold my soul, must be saved
Gonna take a walk down to Union Square
You never know who you're gonna find there"

You gotta run, run, run, run, run
Take a drag or two
Run, run, run, run, run
Gypsy Death and you
Tell you what to do

Margarita Passion had to get a fix
She wasn't well, she was getting sick
Went to sell her soul, she wasn't high
Didn't know the things she could buy

And she would run, run, run, run, run
Take a drag or two
Run, run, run, run, run
Gypsy Death and you
Tell you what to do

Seasick Sarah had a golden nose
Hobnail boots wrapped around her toes
When she turned blue, all the angels screamed
They didn't know they couldn't make a scene

She had to run, run, run, run, run
Take a drag or two
Run, run, run, run, run
Gypsy Death and you
Tell you what to do

Beardless Harry, what a waste
Couldn't even get a small town taste
Rode the trolleys down to Forty-Seven
Figured he was good to get himself to heaven

Had to run, run, run, run, run
Take a drag or two
Run, run, run, run, run
Gypsy Death and you
Tell you what to do

Ooooh
Ooooh

The Song:

In March or April 2009, Beck got together with his band (Brian, Joey and Bram), Nigel Godrich, DJ Chris Holmes, and Icelandic singer, Thorunn Magnusdottir for the first Record Club meeting. Together, they recorded the legendary album, Velvet Underground + Nico in its entirety. This is one of the songs from it.

The original "Run Run Run" is a catchy rock song with a killer guitar solo. The Record Club, however, somewhat brilliantly turned it into an electro new wave song.
